Designed by 12 creatives from around the world BLUTOPIA aims to spark curiosity in adults and children alike, foster empathy and critical thinking skills; and reimagine the future of aquariums.

Spanning 3,000sq ft it featured immersive art experiences across five zones inspired by the ocean's unique characteristics.  

Highlights included an interactive and generative installation which invited users to create deep-sea lifeforms in real time, and a mixed reality artwork mapping animated aquatic life upon a crochet coral reef.

Esthetika worked in collaboration with Hong Kong based non-profit A.L.A.N (Artists who Love Animals & Nature), to provide artistic direction for BLUTOPIA.
